Founder & Executive Director
Founder and Executive Director of Math Beyond Borders, Donna Patton is a graduate of Spelman College with a background in economics. Inspired by conversations with experienced educators and a deep commitment to student success, she developed the Math Beyond Borders concept to help students build confidence in mathematics through discovery, reasoning, and personalized learning. Her vision is to create an environment where students, families, and educators work together to make mathematics understandable, meaningful, and accessible to every learner.
Composer & Producer | Lead Mathematics Instructor
Jerrilynn is an accomplished composer and the Lead Mathematics Instructor at Math Beyond Borders and is passionate about helping students build strong mathematical foundations. With extensive classroom and tutoring experience, she believes every student can succeed when mathematics is taught with patience, clarity, and purpose. Her teaching emphasizes understanding concepts rather than memorizing procedures, helping students gain confidence, strengthen critical thinking, and develop skills that last far beyond the classroom.
Electrical & Electronic Engineer | Mathematics Tutor
Felix Wanjihia is an Electrical and Electronic Engineer who brings real-world engineering experience to mathematics instruction. He is passionate about helping students understand not only how mathematics works, but why it matters. By connecting mathematical concepts to engineering, technology, and everyday problem-solving, Felix helps students build confidence, strengthen analytical thinking, and see mathematics as a powerful tool for future academic and career success..
